Because wellness should be easy — and a little fun, too.
Is GuruNanda Lemongrass Essential Oil safe to apply directly to skin?
Lemongrass essential oil should always be diluted with a carrier oil before applying to skin—we recommend a 1:10 ratio (one-part essential oil to ten parts carrier oil). Coconut, jojoba, and sweet almond oil all work well as carrier oils. Do not apply undiluted lemongrass oil directly to skin, as it can cause irritation, and avoid applying to open wounds. As with any new product, a patch test on a small area of skin is recommended before broader use.
Can I use this oil in a diffuser?
Yes—GuruNanda Lemongrass Essential Oil works beautifully in most standard ultrasonic essential oil diffusers, including the GuruNanda Essential Oil Diffuser. Add a few drops to your diffuser's water reservoir and enjoy the warm, citrusy aroma. We do not recommend using it in diffusers that require direct heat, as high temperatures can alter the oil's natural properties.
What essential oils blend well with lemongrass?
Lemongrass pairs well with a wide variety of essential oils. Popular combinations include lavender for a calming, floral-citrus blend, eucalyptus for a fresh and clarifying mix, tea tree for a purifying combination, and rosemary for a bright, herbaceous blend. It's also a great base for DIY projects like homemade candles, soaps, and lotions.
Is this oil safe to ingest or use in food?
GuruNanda Lemongrass Essential Oil is not intended for internal use or consumption. It is formulated for aromatherapy and topical use only (when diluted with a carrier oil). Keep out of reach of children and pets. If you have questions about medicinal or dietary applications of lemongrass, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
